Meet The President
Glenn Parvin — President & Owner
Glenn Parvin is the President and owner of CASS Sheet Metal, a Detroit-based custom architectural sheet metal company he co-founded in 1990. CASS has built a reputation for precise craftsmanship and high-quality sheet metal work, specializing in architectural features and historical restorations.
Parvin has played a hands-on role in some of Michigan's most iconic projects, notably overseeing work on the iconic Book Tower, The Michigan Central Train Station, and Michigan State Capitol. CASS has brought their craftsmanship and expertise doing custom copper and sheet metal work to the Grand Hotel Façade restoration project on Mackinac Island.
Beyond his work at CASS, Parvin serves on the Board of Directors for SMACNA Detroit and is a trustee for the Sheet Metal Workers Local 80 Training Center. Parvin has served multiple terms on the National SMACNA Architectural Task Force Committee as well as Chairman of the 6th Edition of the SMACNA Architectural Sheet Metal Manual.
Meet The Vice President
Brian Parvin — Vice President
Brian Parvin serves as Vice President of CASS Sheet Metal, a family-owned Detroit-based business specializing in architectural sheet metal roofing and facades. Prior to starting at CASS, Brian began his career in construction with the Christman Company as a project engineer, playing a vital role in the Book Tower redevelopment project.
Brian graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in global business. During his time at MTU, he led volunteer service projects for Engineers without Borders in Panama and Bolivia. He also completed a study abroad in Valencia, Spain.
Brian was raised into the construction industry. From a young age, he began his journey by sweeping the CASS shop. His childhood included valuable exposure to the industry through family attendance at events like the AIA Midsummer Conference and SMACNA annual conventions.
Brian serves on the board of directors for the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) and is a founding committee member of the CAM Young Professionals Group. He has served as the Vice President for the Association for Preservation Technology's (APT) Eastern Great Lakes Chapter and is also a highly engaged member of SMACNA Detroit, Detroit Economic Club, Detroit Athletic Club, AIA, AGC, and Michigan Historic Preservation Network.
